It seems the Immigrant Rights group CHIRLA, in Los Angeles is miffed that ICE raided a business in Washington State and detained 28 undocumented workers.

CHIRLA then issued a typical misleading press release, touting themselves as being representative of "Americans" - they are not.

The group complains that President Obama has broken his word on immigration reform.

Actually, he didn't. This group thinks it is OK to break the laws of the US and wants the government to crawl back into a little hole so they can do whatever they please.

Perhaps they think that because they are a minority and because they have no respect for the law, because President Obama said he wanted Immigration Reform, it meant he would allow them to choose which laws they would comply with.

Apparently that is not the case.

Minutemen are pleased.

CHIRLA is pissed.

We don't care.

"The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) denounced the first workplace raid under the Obama Administration in Bellingham, Washington this week and called on the President and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to order a stop on all Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids immediately. In addition, Americans need details on how the U.S. plans to fix the broken and inhumane immigration system."

“President Obama told us to believe in change as he prepared to work on behalf of all Americans. Workplace raids are remnants of failed immigration policies that have done nothing to solve the undocumented immigration problems we face. We need immediate actions that support our President’s personal commitment to the American electorate, including the more than 10.5 million Latino voters, that a just and humane immigration solution is a priority,” stated Jorge-Mario Cabrera, CHIRLA’s director of education.

On Tuesday, more than 75 ICE agents in riot gear entered a business in Bellingham as a helicopter hovered above. Twenty-eight workers were detained and taken to an undisclosed location. No attorneys were present to advise detainees of their rights.

The continuation of worksite raids has angered immigrant communities nationwide in light of the clear commitment they received from then candidate Barak Obama. Recent comments by the now President Obama have also raised hopes for many.

“When President Obama discussed immigration reform with radio host El Piolin recently, millions nationwide heard him express his interest in a collective dialogue regarding immigration reform. As we engage in that dialogue, let us make very clear that raids do not equal change,” added Cabrera.

CHIRLA urges the Obama Administration to clarify its stand on raids and a just and humane immigration reform without delay.

I think they just did. They want Immigration Reform. They are keen on personal responsibility, That means openly breaking the law is not tolerated.

It's a sad state of affairs when you hear left-wingers, neocons and Trotskyites denounce any strain of “nativism” that they might perceive. In an almost 1984 fashion, they have taken one of the highest virtues and transformed it into an alleged vice. They have also bolstered a left-wing idea, the "proposition nation" (i.e. only ideas are fundamental for the survival of a nation), and attempt to peddle it as a virtue.

The word 'native' is related to the word ‘nation’ because both come from the Latin nascere, implying link by blood. Any true nation will be based in blood and soil, kith and kin, and genophilia (instinctive attachment to family and tribe). 'Nation', as the Latin suggests, is a group of people ancestrally related. Thus, 'nativism' is nothing more than support of an authentic nation. Any true patriot will be a nativist. Be proud to be a nativist.
